Replaced the HU-613 in my 2004 V70 with another HU-613 and now my Stereo Buttons Dont Work

Hi there,

I recently replaced the HU-613 in my 2004 V70 with another HU-613 (from a 2002 XC70). The radio buttons on the face and the backlight are working, but the steering wheel controls for the radio are no longer working. The cruise control and wipers still work.

I saw another post which suggested I could reset by disconnecting the battery and touching the negative and positive together for 15 minutes. I did so, and during those 15 minutes, I turned the key to Position II and left it there all the way until the battery was reconnected. This did not work.

I am wondering if this is a code issue or if its a radio lock issue and how I can fix it?
