My V70 1998 has sat many years. It started right away after changing battery. I can see trip meter but odometer is blank…

Try disconnecting the battery again amd a reconnect. Other than that, it’s pretty much a display service on the V70 cars
On a 1998 in North America, you can swap display module, but in 1999, no. You might have gotten that no-swap in 1998nin EU
