About 4 months ago I had a local shop replace front struts. They left it with an ABS sensor failure on right front. ABS failure light came on every start up. They said they did all they could and it must be in the hub itself. Doubtful. I thought maybe they replaced the abs sensor with the wrong one (not for city safety etc). I replaced it with correct one. Now at startup I get "city safety service required". During first 15 miles car will sometimes feel like ABS is engaging for now reason. After 15 miles I get ABS failure light comes on, along with BLIS service needed, and city service required still on the list. Feeling of ABS engaging goes away, but cruise won't work with ABS light on.
1. Are these two issues related? I know city service uses radar and I am pretty sure my car has it, as I can turn it off with MyVolvo button on dash. Blis must be related to same radar system.
2. I assume City Safety uses ABS wheel speed sensor for emergency braking. Could the ABS failure still be reporting the City Safety issue at startup even though ABS light doesn't come on for 15 miles?
Do these symptoms ring a bell for anyone? I don't want to bring it in, as it hasn't seen a dealer in at least 10 years. I bought it in 2018 with about 100K on it. Has 180 now.
Thanks for any help.

I have no solution for your problem but are in the same situation.
I thought my right rear wheel bearing was bad, and ordered a new one including a dust shield. Turned out to be the rear differential is going bad. I put back the original wheel bearing and the new dust shield. Shortly thereafter the fan controller went out. Now that’s fixed and starting to drive again the city safety warning light comes on with every drive cycle. Once I have Vida working again I will scan the car and report back.

The error had nothing to do with the wheel speed sensor, but I had remove the Haldex fuse for a short while, that triggered the city safety warning.
