Vida and SRS diagnostics - 03 XC70

I have not used Vida much over the years. As Blacklab247 is planning to drop by at some point to see if we can identify an SRS error, I though t while I had the 02 XC70 connected to Vida I would look at the SRS module. However, the first thing it talks about is connecting an interface?

Has anyone done any SRS diagnostics on P2 cars without this or is it limited without the interface, or non-existent?

I have VIDA on a laptop using a Mongoose JLR data port interface connector which works well, so maybe your's is not recognised for some reason? I have a 2007 P2 XC70 on 184k miles with continuous anti skid fault message VIDA traced it to the steering angle sensor with xxx number of recorded fault incursions!
I have a new genuine SAS which I could fit but can't get passed releasing the airbag, it won't move, bent one of the wire release arms trying, booked into local garage hoping they can?

Interesting. Maybe the Mongoose interface is different to the Vida Dice unit and has more functionality. Looking at the Vida info it seemed to infer there was a separate interface unit. I guess we will find out when we try!

i have to choose the correct interface when loading vida, it shows 3, only 1 works.
jrl cable has less capability, its cheaper.

Hm. Maybe my older version does not have that option? Can't say I have noticed any options but maybe I just haven't looked close enough.
