Heater not blowing hot

Post by JMD77 »

I've replaced the thermostat and most of the cooling hoses, as well as the coolant. Engine warms up to proper temp easily and maintains proper temp. Air from vents is luke warm, at best. For what it's worth, rotating the temp dials to full cold and back to full hot does have an impact on the temp of the air so I guess that seems to be functioning. My only thought is maybe a clogged heater core. anything else to consider or test? 2005 S60 2.5T FWD, 80k miles.

Plug your DiCE in, start CCM recalibration in VIDA. If the climate works again for some time or until you move the dials to coldest/warmest, then replace a blend door actuator that fails.

Did you get this sorted out JMD77?
I had an issue with little heat to the passenger side, and solved it by cleaning out all the fuzz from the small vent above the temp control knob.
