Looking for location of Oil Filter Transmission (Volvo S70 GLT)

Post by S70GUY »

So I'm trying to do a fully clean up of the Oil Filter from the Tranny but I can't seem to find anything related to it on the internet (The car doesn't have the Owner Manual) so I'm looking for some help here, or how does the transmission thing works

Bienvenido !
These cars do not have a transmission filter like most other cars. It's a sealed system that was supposed to be maintenance free. It's not.
General recommendation is to drain and refill three times, driving a few miles in between each drain/refill.
I have a designated fill funnel just for this car that I keep in a plastic bag, so absolutely no dust or dirt can make its way into the trany.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Be certain you find the correct fill tube when you add ATF to this transmission. Some unfortunate people have remove the cap holding an internal spring and required a transmission teardown to replace.
