2008 XC90 - Drivers side window stopped working

I thought it was the blue clips but appears the regulator itself is bad, the one arm seems to have bent a little. The motor works fine, I found a few places to get the replacement. Is there anything specific you need to do to get the new one working again. I did drill the rivets out to get the old out. Any tricks to getting the new window lined up?

I say the old regulator was bad as I could never get to seem to get the 2 arms to line up (as if a human was holding there arms out the the side) the left side was always at the opening and the right was always way down in the door.

Thanks in advance for any tips/tricks/suggestions/expertise!

Your window may be different but installation is likely similar to 2001 V70 I recently replaced. I purchased Dorman regulator as they have worked well for me in the past. My motors have always been good so I get regulators without motors and swap motors.
I have also used small bolts instead of rivets as these are going to be easier to change the next time.
I try to connect all the wiring for a trial before attaching the door card and all trim. If things don't work, there is less to take apart again.
