Good afternoon All. New to the forum and thank you for hosting. I hope I am at the correct place for a little advise.

Sitting with an issue of the gear lever not moving out of park. Diagnostics shows correlation issue between brake pedal switches. Fitted new switches, cleared the code and all is well. After short drive same fault.

On live data I see that the switches do not activate at the same time. Question is, SHOULD THEY? Diagnostics switch seems to activate before brake light switch.

Fault code is as follows:
P0504-29: Brake Switch A/B Correlation. General Signal Failures Signal Invalid.

Hi All. As to the topic. Just incase someone else has a simmilar issue. The switches do not activate simaltaniously. The issue turned out to be a broken wire from the brake (not CAN) switch to the ECU. This due to previous accident damage that had corroded with time in the wiring harness below the right side of the bumper stiffner. Fixed and all good.
