Readout Part Numbers 🤷‍♂️

Post by raembo »

Hi everybody,

PAM not working.
First i had a faulty sensor. Replaced it.
Then PAM startet to work, but not consistant.
So we looked at the wires, looked good.
We decided to get a new module. My mechanic took it out and sended it to someone who can fix modules.
After waiting some time with no response from the soldering guy i decided to just buy a used one.
I got one from a similar car, but it is not recognized as expected.

I don‘t have the original part number written down before sending it away.

As fas as i now know, a used one needs software reload. Or new software. And this can only be done with a valid vida account.

So, is there a possibility to read the coded part number from vida or vdash, without having the original module?
Then i would just need to buy the correct module without having to leave the car at volvo and pay a lot more.

On the attached photo i can see all sensors are okay with my used module, but PAM stays off and gives service message.
