2013 xc90 Platinum 7 seater brake options and parts

Post by abscate »

I ordered brakes for all corners on NewGena and found their are options listed for 16 and 17 inch wheels

Og course, my car has 18 inch wheels

It looks like the parts break ( brake ?) is 318 mm vs 326mm rotors , mine measured at 326mm

This makes sense as the seven seater is a 6000 pound beast GVWR

part numbers to come when confirmed

Maybe have a look at viewtopic.php?t=93783, you're a 2013 so very highly likely you have a 328mm rotor double pot caliper up front (see pad damper first image in link). 308mm rear never changes across the line as I am aware.

Everybody goes through this at one point, especially for the earlier models. Volvo makes it worse by referring to 16,17, and 17.5 inches in the parts catalog, not 316mm, 328mm, and 336mm.

Thanks @ghleavitt. I think the 17,18 inch designations refer to the rotor diameter, not the wheel diameter as you noted.

I pulled a wheel and measure mine and got spare of the same size. Ordered ftom FCP

Nice, so you measured and the value was 328mm? Damper is like the first photo in the attached thread, yeah?
Pretty sure by 2011 there is only the FoMoCo double pot caliper in production for the Gen1 XC90, your measurement value can help confirm.

I measured 326 mm but wasily had 2 mm of error in my measurement, with wheel on

I do confirm the two pot, two piston calipers
