Hi all,
Just realized there is an actual forum for VIDA.
So I've run software updates in the past (keys, TCM) with no problems, but I made the dumb mistake today of starting a "Total Upgrade CAN" for this 2002.
The upgrade ran ok for a while, then errored out at ECU 40.
After that, the car is offline--DIM does nothing, key to position II just gives "check engine" light, car cranks but will not start.
I have been trying various methods for re-installing today, and have tried multiple other software items (re-trying Total Upgrade CAN, trying CEM upgrade, and also CEM reload) but in each case we error out almost immeidately.
I have tried the method outlined in Volvo TJ 27236 to get into programming mode. The modules do enter programming mode and return OK hardware ID etc. but contrary to what TJ 27236 says, the modules clearly do not stay in programming mode when I close that window; as soon as I close it, I hear the clicks and the interior lights come back on.
Basically, every programming attempt I am making right now fails in the same way--
We try to start with "Checking wake up patterns" and then it immediately fails. Like I said, I've updated software before and it worked fine (including... one day ago).
Attached are the current logs in case anyone is familiar with the VIDA logs and what they ought to look like.
