2018 XC60 T6 Momentum VCM Battery replacement

My wife's 2018 XC60 T6 Momentum is in for service on the AC and the "Volvo on call service" error code. Confirmed the VCM battery is bad.
They want $875 to fix it. I have been looking around for tip n tricks with not much luck thought I'd ask you all?

This is something I'd do over $875 at the dealer. Passenger side rear wheel arch, looks like a small plastic black briefcase. Once you're in there:

I think the TSB also calls for software update at the same time. Dealer should probably charge 100-150 for that.
