Ugh. He was great. I first listened to his music in 5th grade, before homeroom. My friend Jaime would bring in Blizzard of Ozz record, and we'd listen to Crazy Train once or twice using those big 1970s educational/institution headphones with the coiled cable before the teacher made us sit in our seats. I'm pretty sure the crappy institution record player was mono. It had four 1/4" headphone jacks.
That didn't matter. When "ALLL ABORDDDD hahahahaha" and the baseline hit, I was in another world.
Sad news.
