Good evening,
Got a post-purchase inspection on my newly-acquired '96 854 Sedan, one, among several glaring issues, was some issue regarding either the fuel pump or its relay, upon inspection, it looks as though these relays are missing altogether. There are a couple wires plugged into the number 103 slot. Not sure if I have something wrong or this is simply a lower spec or something.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated and I don't suspect this'll be the last time I'm on this forum. :)

Cheers
Angus

This is what I'm looking at in the fuse box. Note those green, brown, and orange ports.

You will need to figure it out since yours fuse box may be upside down because of RHD vs. LHD differences.

Looks like someone has bypassed the fuel pump relay which is not a good thing as the pump then runs all the time.

The other 'missing' relay is the cruise control relay. It may depend if your car was ever fitted with one. Do you have the controls on the stalk on the steering column? The pump for the cruise control is normally mounted on the bottom side of the battery tray.

Hi Neil,
Thanks for replying, don't have cruise control on my model, so that'd explain that. Do you suppose this is some kind of dodgy home job done on the fuel pump relay?
Appreciate your help.

The fact there is a Zip tie in the box would suggest your car has been 'modified'. When you switch on your ignition to Pos II, can you hear your fuel pump running all the time, or does it run for a few seconds and then switch off?
