Today I learned something new. I picked up a spare set of alloys from a P2 S60 to use as winter rims on my hopefully soon to be acquired V70.
Every P2 rim I have seen (at that is a lot) have all had a 49mm offset. All my P80 have had from 36mm to 43mm.
I was surprised then when I started to clean the rear of the first rim to find it has a 43mm offset! That is great as using P2 rims on a P80 I have always had the 49mm rims which on a P80 that 6mm of further inset of the rim can lead to inner fender rubbing on full lock on the front.
These are ideal as I will now swap these for my winter rims on our P80 V70R as it's winter rims and use the winter storage rims (a set of Thors that have been refinished) as the P2 V70 AWD winter rims. The strange thing is that the part number does not bring up any information on the style. What comes up is a 17" OTRERA rim for a 05 XC70. But when I look up Otrera rims the part numbe that come up is one digit out as 30664306. These rims look similar but their part # is: 30664307
Can anyone confirm what the wheel style is called?
Thanks,
Neil.
