Hello, someone gifted me a brick through the rear windshield (with defroster) of my 1986 244 which has been in the family since new. I have located a used replacement that is 2.5 hours' drive from where I live (Baltimore).
-Does anyone know if a new rear windshield / back glass can be ordered or purchased anywhere, either online or through a glass shop?
-Any glass shop recommendations in the Baltimore area, by chance?
-Any advice on DIY replacement if I purchase the used one a few hours away and do it with a friend out back?
-Do I need to track down/purchase a new seal as well, or can the OEM one from my car be used?
First time on this forum--hoping the community can help me weather-in a 240 that is getting ready to transport its 4th generation of the same family, but is currently in storage under a car cover due to the shattered window.

No 240 Volvo specific advice but some general advice.
Old windshields were removed by a sawing the seal out with a then cable between two handles. You need two people - one inside and one outside. Old glass gets brittle and may break while removing.
I helped remove one once. It was hard work. It was a hot day but the process might be even harder if it was cooler.
