Hello again!
Before going on a long trip, I make a habit of leveling the beams on my headlights. But...at night what I have noticed is that the low beams make there way down so that the road is hardly lit. It's at this point that I have to turn the high beams on so I can see! On occasion I have stopped along the way, to adjust the beams. They just do not want to stay level.
Any clues as to what I might be able to do so the beams stay level?
Appreciate your help!

Are the reflectors loose in the headlights? Also, how are the silvered parts looking?
I have a huge box of dead P80 headlights with a road to Hades to fix them, but end up buying TYC replacements instead.

Hi Steve,
The silver parts are in good shape.
The reflectors, though, I'm not sure. I will have to take off the caps on the back of each light and remove the bulbs, then I might be able to determine if the reflectors are loose. The morning light will help! How does one fix loose reflectors?

You might have to take the headlights out ( three m6 bolts, 10 mm hex head) to evaluate them. Make sure the glass is clean of course. The Volvo glass has a bunch of Fresnel lens in them and dirt in the wrong place will kill the light where it is needed most

Are these headlights with auto leveling? My C70 I had had a sensor that went out and default was to the lowest setting. It had linkage to the passenger side lower control arm. That car had xenon headlights.
