Anyway, when I got there he told me to part around the back of the shop. When he came out with the tire he loaded it into my car and then told me to follow him. Further up the parking area was a 06 XC70 in Lava Grey the same as out son's car. He had just bought it to do up in his spare time after selling me his P2 V70 AWD.
A friend of his was moving overseas and needed to get rid of the car. He got a 140k mile car with some issues for $3k US. The main issues are a bad wheel bearing and possibly a bad or just leaking angle gear as well as some catch up maintenance.
So this year my young friend got the 02 XC70 I brought back to life from him, his girlfriend bought BlackLab's 03 XC70, BlackLab bought an 07 XC70 in Lava Grey, another buddy bought a 07 V70 T5, and I bought my buddies 06 Titanium Grey V70 AWD.
My mechanic buddies car also has a small ding just level and behind the passenger rear view mirror, in exactly the same spot as our son's car. What a coincidence!
Then there is another buddy who bought the 08 XC90 V8 (P2) for his son's first car.......................
No wonder P2's are getting hard to find, we are cornering the market in Calgary!
