Differences between base and R bumper. 1998 V70

Post by acfviola »

Hi everyone, forgive me if this is a question with obvious answers. i’ve been looking at buying a 1998 V70R bumper in Australia; but they cost a super small amount of $3,000 AUD without grilles, fog lights and unpainted. Not happening. Is the standard V70 bumper the exact same, as i’ve found one on Facebook Marketplace for about $100 AUD. I’ve been trying my hardest to spot the difference from pictures online but can’t seem to find anything different between the V70 and V70R front bumpers.
If anyone could let me know the key differences it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

So there is a guy based in the UK on Facebook named Volvo composites who has a conversion lip for the base model bumper to turn it into a R bumper.

This might be cheaper for you if you can do bodywork.
