What is wrong with PPS 9470674 Pump assembly?

Well, It'be a long time since I posted here, but I decided to revive my 99 V79XC.
At first, I thought it was only the TPS problem. Got that covered with Xemodex.
Then, now to fuel pump. No OEM part and only thing shows up through IPD, FCP, AutohausAZ, eEuro including OReilly.
All shows up with same part Pro Part Sweden

I don't see much feedback about it. What is wrong with it? Does it work as it should?

If it is the only one you can find- nothing wrong with it. Make yourself a favor and use "floor cut" method(unless your car is in showroom condition and you have all the tools and lift). Buy from. Fcp, so in case something you will be able to have your money back. PPS is known for some good parts, but general consensus about their electrical products-junk. I can say that their steering shaft for my 01v70xc was JUNK and lasted 3k after which it developed play and was replaced with oem.

IPD sells the PPS unit and they have had several claims on them. Try Vast. They sell one, not cheap at $300 US but is is a quality item.

Yes I went through the cut process and installed the pump that I got from FCP. I got that because of their lifetime warranty policy. I plan on trying to find a way to repair the original one or may just get the Vast (looks just like PPS with DW200 to be put inside). I had no idea about the Vast. Only saw the DW200 pump being available. For now, PPS pump started the car right away with temporary connection (all 4 wires twisted to corresponding wires). I will be putting 3.5mm bullet connectors to those wires for future removal.

I didnt/don't see any reviews at IPD on the pump. Other than the 1 star ratings at FCP by 2 end users. One of them was a mechanic who said he went through 3, but didn't have much details about why he went through 3 in what kind of time frame.

Well, time will tell. I keep recording of what's done with pictures/milage

Do a hard solder with nasa splice and heat shrink on those wires, especially of you are in humid country.

There is an insert you can replace in the OE pump too, see my Ekaterina resurrection thread. You can tank drop to get to the pump, cutting the frame isn’t required

Have to finish tomorrow with bigger tubing before closing the cut out. 4 pairs of 3.5mm bullets with heat shrink tubings over them.
