My thoughts:

Japan is not bad...
Some games aren't all that fun to watch.
Brazil-Scotland on now.
A tanned Beckham drinking an enormous glass of wine watching BRA-SCO in Miami.
Hydration breaks are a way to jam in more TV ads.
I pay attention to it and watch games every four years. It's a great event and I'm happy it exists.

World Cup is fun! I'm watching here and there so far.

I was pretty disappointed watching my first game this year and witnessing the hydration break. Ruins the game.

I read Fever Pitch https://amzn.to/3T5YOzb in the 1990s and remember liking it. It's about the author's devotion to Arsenal. He's the author of High Fidelity which was made into a movie if you remember that.
