The times are changing - time to reconsider parts stock

The sudden realization that 4 of the cars I have either been supporting, and one which I had collected some parts for are soon to be no longer owned by their current owners, means I think the time has come to start weeding out many of my excess of spares.

My old 00 V70 SE base has been moved to the East of Canada for possibly 2 years or so. It may eventually return.

The young guy with the 06 V50 T5 AWD has now got a full time job, and works long hours. He has decided to go back to an Acura TLX which was the first cat he owned but ran until the body fell off it. He works up to 10 hours a day, so I don't blame him. I think the V50 will likely get sold for parts even though it currently runs. I have a few panels and body parts it needed that will now get moved on.

A younger brother of a friend of mine with a 98 V70 T5 that was planning to refresh (I had started to collect parts for it), has had his brother pass on his much newer S60, and with a new house and baby he has made the decision to sell it. In fact it lasted less than a day on FBM.

Finally there is the 06 S60 2.5T AWD. This is the one with the blown out spark plug. The dad of the owner was trying to decide whether to fix it or not when his ex decided to go out and buy a newer car for their son instead. Car may get fixed but then sold on, or just sold as a mechanics' special.

I had gathered so many parts for P80's, P2's and even P1's and a smattering of XC60 parts. I have decided it is therefore time to accept that many folk I have helped are moving on to newer cars so the parts I have for those car they were needing can get sold on.

The times are for sure a-changing!
