Programming Failures - 2008 XC90 - "Write Error: 1215" in vdash

Long time member, first time poster..

Last fall, I wanted to do the heated seat mod in my 2008 XC90:
- I built the CEM Cracker and successfully used it to get the CEM pin.
- I swapped in both front heated seats and replaced the CCM for one with the seat heater buttons.
- I uploaded my CEM pin to Vdash, purchased the subscription and ran through the process to enable the heated seat option.
Voila, everything worked!

6 months later, I went to make a change to the seat temperature, and I am receiving "Write Error: 1215" in vdash.
After some research and opening a ticket with D5T5, they told me my pin is wrong.
That seems weird, but I decided to run the CEM Cracker again and verify the pin I had.
This time, the CEM Cracker eventually gave up and said the "pin is not cracked".

After quite a bit of searching, I can't find any more info on where to start to troubleshoot this. While I can send commands to the vehicle such as calibrating the CCM, reading and clearing codes, I am not able to do anything that requires the pin.

It almost seems like something is corrupted or messing with the bus.
Any ideas on how to chase this?

I am heading in the direction of disconnecting the seats and the CCM module and testing again as those are the only changes I have introduced into the car. If that doesn't work, I will need to dive into CAN bus troubleshooting, but I was hoping someone on here had some similar experiences.

I bumped this thread over to the P2 and then bumped it back as there as some good PIN crackers there.

Seats sit on LIN-bus, not CAN. CCM is irrelevant, I'm not even sure if it talks that much to CAN. Your VDASH CEM reconfiguration either overwrote the PIN area somehow, or the bus is noisy, like some module didn't go to sleep mode.

Do you crack the pin in P3 or P2 mode?

I am not sure what you mean my P3/P2 mode. I used the CEM Cracker from Github for the cracking.

There are a few git branches in that repo, one is for P3, and there's even one for early P2 (brick-shaped CEM). Master branch is for P2 2005+.

What does the cracker say in console when it's cracking? Can you capture the output and stick it here?

I used the Master branch for P2 2005+.
I have attached the original output from when I successfully cracked it a year ago. Are you looking for the most recent output where it failed? I don't think I captured that one, but I can do that again in the next couple days.
