Main Seal leak. How to repair? ('05 T5 S60) Topic is solved

Can anyone point me to a good tutorial on replacing the main seal? I sprang a pretty good leak last week at the bottom of the engine on the passenger side. 2 quarts in 10 miles to get it home. The car is a 2002 S60 in very good condition, so worth saving. The engine was running great until this, after I just put in new plugs and clean injectors.

Does the engine need to be pulled to replace the Main seal on the front? Can it be done from the side? I've done a head replacement and a tranny swap on my 850 before, so I can wrench a bit. But I need a very good tutorial to know what to do step by step. Especially on reassembly and on what steps you can't cheap out.

Grateful for any help. I have to get this done before the cold weather comes. And my other car, the XC90, has a computer module dying so it's getting urgent.

crank seal ? tis easy with the install tool.

Likely front cam seals leaking, dumping engine oil.

PCV could be clogged too.

Front Main Seal lasts a long time, more than 200k miles.

I bought a front main seal 8 yrs ago, its still in the box at 230K miles.
