Power seats on 1993 850 GLT

The seat back on the driver's side power seat no longer reclines. When I adjust the lever, I hear the electric engine, but the seat doesn't move. The other two controls work fine - up and down, forward and backward. It is now stuck in a position further reclined back than is comfortable for me. Plus, I share the car with my wife and we really liked being able to switch between the two saved settings. What would a repair entail?

The cable broke. It is PITA repair but it can be done.

When I repaired my seat bottom I used ty-wraps instead of hog rings. So far so good on them not breaking.
