Where can you buy and how do you replace roof strips that are covered in rubber . There are peeling and it really makes the car look awful. I thinj previous owner had ski rack on it.

Do a site search on roof rails for various methods of repair and take your pick. If the black is completely gone the best method seems to be to just mask it off and paint it with black paint. If you still have chunks sticking up you need to pull the trim off, wire brush the crud off, and then paint it with black paint.

Others have used electrical tape to cover the problem but I gather that it is not a long lasting solution.

Wagon? If so, there are tabs at the back...you will be able to tell how they come off...then just start pulling up. Be careful not to bend the strips. they are aluminum in the middle. I took mine off, sand blasted them and then sprayed them with a high temp. flat paint (when we owned an 850). 2 years later I sold the wagon and the trim pieces still looked great!

I do believe they sell a rubberized spray now as well...might be even better.
