88 volvo 760 turbo vacume hose's under dash from firewall

I had the underside of my dash all pulled apart today and noticed 2 Vaccume lines coming into the drivers compartment through the firewall. one of these lines is hooked up just above the brake pedal and the other is a bit longer and is not hooked up to anything ??? Where do es it go or is this some sort of temp sender for the climate control ?
When the car is running this hose is sucking air ... if i plug it seems nothing happens and if i leave it sucking air seems nothing happens either !
does any one know anything about this ?

lol ... i realized on my way to the auto wrecker that the Gauge for my Turbo was not working and realized that that must what the hose was for!
I had another look and bang ... it was off of the back of the gauge for the turbo !

PROBLEM SOLVED!
