Daytime Running Lights, 02 V70XC

Post by FritzMissel »

Does anyone know of a way to turn off the daytime running lights on the v70xc? I assume the instrument panel lights are on the entire time and I'm afraid I'm going to be replacing bulbs too frequently. The manual says take the car to the dealer if you don't want them on...is there another way? Thanks!

Well if that's what it says, why do you think this can be done another way?
(It can't)
Dealer has to turn them off by the computer (VIDA)

If you do not want the panel lights on set the light switch to day position. The day position does two things a. turns off the panel lights and b. cuts out the bright lights holding relay. A second way to turn off the panel iights is to turn down the illumination thumb wheel.

That won't help the obvious problem, ALL the other lighs are on, the taillights, marker lights et al.
DRL's should be a lower wattage light in the front only, like ALL OTHER CARS HAVE

Absolutely nothing to be sorry about, just take it to a dealer and work out a fair price.
There are no downloads involved just 5 minutes of computer time and you should NOT be charged more than 50 bucks
