850 1993 WON'T GO IN REVERSE (TRANNY PROBLEM)

My Volvo 850 GL won't go in reverse. I could drive it forward but it's really slow, now I have arrow flashing and I also smelled like some fluid is leaking while I was driving. What do you guys think? Is my transmission dead?

It doesn't sound good. Check your fluid level and then pull the codes from socket A-1 and post them back.
