No A/C 1994 Volvo 960 Sedan
Gave A/C charge last year. Cold air in the shop. Few days later, warm air. Ideas on troubleshooting & repair?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
It may be that the system has a leak which could be anywhere. The only way to check is to have the system filled with a dye that can be seen using black light.
Most AC shops can do this for you. They will check to see if the system does need a recharge then go from there.
Bill.

does it work like a champ when the temperature is under 90 but cut out on really hot days when you really need it ? ... seems to be a "feature" that the engineers who designed the car didn't anticipate ... the two previous owners of my '94 960 spent just over $5,000 between them replacing every component in the system and I then bought the car for $2.200 in cherry condition with 180,000 miles on it ... if anyone ever solves this design error he will become a wealthy individual ... when it's over 90 degrees we drive my wife's Honda Civic, under 90 we enjoy the luxury and comfort of the 960 ... embrace it, it's a money pit to fight and the car works great otherwise
