My anti-theft triggered on my radio...i followed procedure to get it back to code...i put in the code and it displayed PHONE. i called the dealership and they have never hear of such...@ the advice of another i unhooked the battery to resett radio but when i put in the code...it went back to PHONE...i unhooked the back of the radio for a few minutes and hooked it back, put in the code and back to PHONE it went...any ideas on how to rectify this so my kids and i can have our radio back... Sorry, I've never heard of that either. I guess if I were you, would just keep hitting buttons on it to see if anything changes. If it says phone but it's really in a "off" position, you will have to leave it on with the key at least in position 1 for 2 hours for it to say "code" so you can enter your code again. Good luck and maybe someone else will know.

I may be wrong, but I have an idea about this.
I think these radios have a mute input that is triggered by an optional cell phone.
The way it worked was that when you got an incoming call, it would ground a wire
going into the radio to tell it to be quiet so you could hear the phone.
It's set up to display "Phone" when this happens.

If I'm right, then the bad news is, you'll have to find someone that really knows
what they are doing to help you determine if this is a problem inside the radio
or with the wiring harness in the car. Could be either.

You might try unplugging it for a longer period, say maybe overnight.

Same problem - radio comes on in phone mode and will not revert. Any suggestions apreciated.

I have a head unit you can have for shipping cost. The bad new, although the radio works fine, the cd player is shot. PM me if you'd like the radio.

Get the above radio sent to you and swap the cd player over. It is very easy to do.

Sounds like a plan, but mine has a cassette tape, not a CD. Any ideas about how to proceed.
