Looking For Compatible Parts For Volvo 460 GLE Yr l993

Hi,

I own a Volvo 460 GLE 1993. In my country Malaysia this car is not imported into the country. As such, there are only a few units brought in by individuals.
As known, this car has Renault engine. Looking for compatible engine parts is easy. However, when come to the other parts like driveshaft, power steering rack, engine mountings, tie rod, gearbox etc are difficult or not existent. I wish to find out whether the items mentioned are compatible from other car makes. If I am looking for the engine parts I can source from Renault. However, what about the other parts mentioned that can be sourced from other car makes?

As this car was never introduced into the U.S. market and since most of us here are from the U.S., I'm afraid you'll get very little help here. Maybe Billofdurham (the moderator for this section) who is from the U.K. can answer your questions or at least direct you. In the meantime, you might try over on the U.K. Volvo forum where there seems to be quite a following for your car:

MIJ beat me to it whilst I was doing some research on the car.

So far I have been unable to find out what other parts are from Renault. The most likely would be the gearbox but Volvo used 4 different boxes on the '93 model, all under Volvo designations.
