2000 C70 Ragtop with 17 inch FRONT wheels

Post by hansenjg »

I have a 2000 C70 conv that I bought used. It has 17 inch wheels all around. I have lots of trouble finding brake parts for the front because of this. I now need rotors and can't find them (haven't tried dealer yet). Did Volvo make this car with 17 wheels or did someone change them on me. THey sure look factory.

Thanks,
John

The 2000 C70 was available with optional 17 x 7.5 inch, 5 spoke alloys fitted with 225/45/17 tyres.

I have 17s on my 01 c70, if the rotors look small on your front they are probably 280mm. But the only to know for sure is to remove the wheel and the rotor and measure it

You don't have to do all of that. Just make a caliper out of a coat hanger and measure the width that way. Depending on the wheel, you might not even need to take that off. Once you get it measured (bend the coat hanger to be the exact diamter), then measure with a tape measure. Several places sell the rotors of either size 280 (11 inches) or the one slightly larger including www.fcpgroton.com or eeuroparts.com (shipping is free from eeuroparts on orders of $39 or more).
