Ive had a metal rattle noticeable at low speed, when windows open, from rear of car and on further investigation today have now realised it is the rear pads rattling against brake discs. This was confirmed when travelling along slowly while rattle present, then lightly braking when still travelling and rattling stopped.Braking appears fine though and pads still have well above minimum thickness.
The slots on pads appear too big for location pins, thus allowing a lot of movement when in rest position. Is this possibly due to wrong pads being fitted or worn out pins? Any suggestions?
IGNORE ABOVE,JUST REALISED WHY THEY ARE LOOSE,LAST OWNER FORGOT TO FIT SPRING CLIPS!!!!!DOH!!!

Wigsey, there should be some anti-rattle springs on the rear pads.
