Well the Volvo was on the road for about two weeks, and of course I was met by another issue. If I press on the gas slightly (and I meen SLIGHTLY) it will accelerate but at a very slow pace, but if I hit the gas any more then my little tap I lose all power. Thinking that my fuel filter was clogged I replaced it. Nothing, but now my check engine light is on, and it is hard to start. Once I do get it started if I hit the gas it will rise for a second then drop down to about 500 rpm's and bounce in and out of stalling itself out. It has a fairly new fuel pump with only a good 30 miles on it. And help?

Pull the codes and post them back - that will give us something to work with. What year is it?

Going to the trusty decoder ring:
A1 (Auto Transmission):
3-1-3 Gear Position Sensor Signal Incorrect.
2-3-2 Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal Missing or Incorrect.
If your up arrow light isn't on I would just clear those and see if anything comes back.
A2 (Engine)
3-1-1 Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal Missing or Incorrect.
2-2-3 Idle Air Control Valve Signal Absent or Faulty.
2-3-2 Adaptive O2 Sensor Control, Provides Richer Misture at Idle.
5-1-2 O2 Sensor Integrator at Maximum Lean Running Limit.
1-2-1 MAF Sensor Signal Missing or Faulty.
If your speedometer works I think you can ignore the VSS codes.
The O2 sensor codes are likely caused by either a MAF problem or an IAC problem.
The way I would go after this is to clean up the IAC valve and verify that it is "Buzzing" when the key is in position II. Next I would unplug the MAF and see how the car behaves. If it runs better then you can try to clean the MAF with MAF cleaner and plug it back in.
Given the behavior of the car I don't think that will fix it but MAF cleaner is cheap, MAF sensors are not. When you do clean it just spray the element and let it dry, don't even touch it.
If unplugging the MAF doesn't get things running better you really need to check the fuel pressure. It sounds a lot like it is starving for fuel even with the new fuel pump.
Once you get it purring again clear all of the codes.

unfortunately I got a little ahead of myself and already cleared what codes I had, but I have a few more if you would care to look, I have a B2: 122
B5: 222, 127
My IAC (I'm pretty sure it is it, it is a silver tubular object with one hose coming out of the intake and another going into something else, sorry can't remember) does buzz. Where is my MAF sensor?

Check for hoses that have popped off near the intake. A hard acceleration one night a few months ago popped a hose off, and my 850 ran nearly identically to your description.

Well I started cleaning my intake and all a little bit ago. I can't get my MAF off to clean it though. I'll start checking hoses and all. But I had an accident the IAC hose broke on me. I have to try to go find one in the junkyard sometime soon.

That may have been the problem all along. But I had an accident the IAC hose broke on me.
Any unmetered air to the intake manifold is a bad thing, particularly when it is as big of a line as the IAC hoses.

Well the hose broke on me because I was trying to pull it off. I didn't want to taek the clip off because it would be no good. Shot myself in the foot.

Well I hit the Junk Yard today and pulled a MAF sensor off of a 95 850. The car ran but had a front end collision so everything is in working order. After I installed it, I rehooked the battery, and started it. Now my CEL is back on and the arrow on my cluster is blinking. I unhooked the battery and tried again and the arrow is still there. I checked my tranny fluid and it is fine. The right color and the right amount. Please help me. This is supposed to be my wifes car so she can transport my to young sons around instead of driving her two door sunfire.
