Correct denso iridium plug part # for 99 v70XC

Post by PatternFlyer »

Has anyone tried Denso Iridium plugs?
I've tried a set on my Maxima SE previously. They worked great for 7 years.

Now I am try to change the spark plugs on my V70XC.

Somehow IPDusa shows with IK22 for turbo, but Denso and others shows with IQ20

Any idea?

thanks,

Ihncheol

On Volvo's I've avoided everything but genuine Volvo plugs or Bosch (and I avoid their platinums), so sorry, I'm not sure of the answer. Oh, whatever you get, make sure and gap them correctly...0.028 inches is correct.

I had gotten a set of the subject plugs from IPD, and they worked fine for a while, then I started getting random cly missfire codes. Turned out it was a non-turbo plug! Don't know if it's their cataloge, or just bad luck.

Like I said, I avoid those...I just haven't read anything good about them. If you want to save $$, just get the good 'ole tried and true Bosch copper cores (turbo or not). You might have to replace them more often but at less than $2.00 each, it's a great deal!
