Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.
The temp has been all over the scale here in the last couple of weeks so I turned the AC off one morning. On the way to work the "Check Engine" light came on. I was going to take it to the shop to find out wha the problem was and the light went out later that day. I ran the AC for a couple of days and then turned it off one night, the light came back on! If I leave the AC on, no light.
What could be causing the light that is associated with the AC? Will a code be trapped even though the light is off?
