How to remove the coolant expansion tank

Post by shaimaa2000 »

Hi all,
I notice that the coolant level decreases and the lamp lights I added coolant and after 2 days it the lamp lights again. I check the coolant tank and the hose that goes to it and found coolant drops where the hose reaches the coolant tank. I assume the coolant tank is leaking or the hose needs to be changed but it is tied to the black box of the break oil any idea or old thread about how to remove it?

Thank you all in advance.

It's pretty simple...just lifts up from where it is attached on the inside fender...you can sit it on your engine and check the hoses. If you see a leak, use a turkey baster and suck the coolant out...then as long as you hold the hose that attaches to the bottom up above the engine (or clamp it) you won't have much loss of fluid. Have some towels handy just in case...you really don't want to get this all over your belt(s).
