Two simple questions in one here I think.
1-The ignition key can be taken out of the ignition in any position. When placed in park the vehicle does lock i.e the transmission.
2- Changing the bulbs in the fog lamp switch and the Tracs switch I removed a blanking plate between the two in order to push the switches from the back. On the back of the blanking plate was a multiplug. What switch would fit in between these two. This vehicle is RHD.

1. The tumblers in the lock are stuck. You may be able to get them to work again by putting a small amount of oil on the key and working it in and out. Even though the transmission locks, with a broken switch the car could be started with a screwdriver.
2. My car is 200 miles away with the handbook in it but I think that could be the electric sunroof switch position. I never use the sunroof so I don't take too much notice of the switch for it.
Bill.
