Green light on 99-01?

Post by 2goldvolvos »

Heretofore I never considered 99-01 Volvos due to the ETM issue, but it appears the xemodex fix is for real. So, this morning I checked out a 2000 V70 GLT with only 64k miles on it. It passed my cursory look-over and test drive, but I would certainly take it to my local Volvo indy for a PPI.

Some questions: By 2000 had the AC evaps been improved? Door hinges/straps? Wasn't there a period of ABS modules that were destined to fail? Should I pre-emptively swap in a xemodex ETM? Any other issues that would make one shy away from a 2000 V70?

Thanks all.

All the old issues can still be problematic on this model.
Get it checked out thoroughly. I wouldn't jump to the new ETM until you need it.
