S90 1997 Powerseat rail Jammed

Drivers side / rail on right side is jammed. Can I remove the seat To get to the rail w/out causing any air bags or anything else to go off. Any manuals that will explain how ? Also my air bag on passengers side rattles badly, is it safe to look into that area or best to let dealer do it?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

Your car is fitted with the Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) which needs to be immobilized before removing the seat. Before disconnecting the battery you must have the radio code.

Are you sure it is the passenger air bag that is rattling? You must judge your own ability to check this when you have read the instructions:

Thanx for info on jammed seat. I copied all attachments and will attempt fixes . seat & air bag. Bought dvd of Volvo manuals also. Thanx again for reply
