960 3LTR /94 Air con compressor clutch

Problem with compressor clutch not engaging. No warning lights or noise from clutch and the pully sounds sweet.Can the clutch be replaced without removing compressor and possible causes of problem.I don't use it too often but hate knowing it doesn't work. Thanks anyone help.

Unfortunately the compressor has to be removed to replace the clutch.

However, the first thing to do, if it has just stopped working, is to have the system checked to ensure their is enough refrigerant in there. If it falls below pressure the compressor won't kick in.

Most places that do car ACs will run a test free of charge.
