Has anybody tried Evans NPG+ non-aqueous coolant in an S70 or 850? Supposedly it doesn't boil 'till 370 F so the cooling system runs at much lower pressure. It also doesn't corrode metallic components. It's claimed to be a "lifetime" coolant.

Brucebo,
Have not tried it in my S70 but have used it in a Cannondale quad. They had a design issue that used a Magnesium valve cover which corroded with reg antifreeze.
The Evans was a temp fix. It did stop further corrision and the running temp was was lower with the Evans.
My thought is, The stuff is costly and was not easy to come by.

I have it in my snowmobile and motorcycles, (BMW f650 and K1). I will be putting it in my xc70 once I do the head gasket or new engine, (which ever it ends up needing). My belief is it will prevent the engine damage and destruction which occurs on these engines when a cooling system malfunction occurs, and reduce the stresses on the cooling system which should reduce the failures in the first place. That really is an Achilles heel on these cars.
