S60 2005 When trying to reset SRI I get a "045"

When trying to reset the SRI, I am getting a "045" as one
of my messages, which is probably why the procedures for
resetting the SRI are not working for me.

Does anyone know what the "045" code means?

Hello, This is a GUESS, pure and simple. Here goes: When I reset the service reminder message-in the lower left "window" of my 2002 V70 base for the first time, I got the same display, briefly. I was fumbling a bit with my first attempt at clearing the message because I had 3 sets of instructions. The mystery number in my case was the mileage (in thausands) of the previous owners last service visit at the Volvo dealer where he bought the car new. I have the service history. It was an "055"; nothing more, just a 3 digit number. Every subsequent erasure of my service reminder message has been quick and generated no number or any other message. My theory is that Volvo dealers can informally log complete scheduled service visits (or at least the latest one) into a memory. Cheers, George
