Hi All,
I'm in the final stretch of the bottom-up rebuild of a 95 850 turbo rebuild. There is a brass fitting inserted in the block, just behind the water pump and above the axle mounting bracket, facing the passenger side firewall. When pouring coolant into the reservoir, it gushes out that fitting (well, duh- stupid me for not noticing that prior). I cannot figure out what hose should be fitted on that fitting. I no unaccounted for hoses or fittings anywhere.
If you go to

and look at image 40 very closely, you will see it just above the axle mounting bracket.
Help!
Thanks,
John

Great looking motor build.
Is that not a coolant line for the turbo? I will fire up a windows partition to take a look for sure.
What's up with the orange can of death hanging of the sump?

For most domestic cars it is my gold standard but on a Volvo a Fram oil filter is not a good thing, the check valve sucks and the lifters will clack like crazy on startup. For my part I just order in Mann filters by the case.Orange can of death

I noticed this on my 97 855R last weekend while putting my OBX exhaust on the wagon. Popped next door to the neighbor (Indy Volvo shop) and he said it was the block coolant drain. I would assume you just tighten it up and the leakage will stop. No hose is supposed to be on there..

You have a really nice Strut brace there in pic 30. Also like the inlet manifold is that a stock turbo one or one you've had manufactured ? Can you let me have the company email to both plz hopefully they export to the uk.
