heater control panel dark
help! I have a 2002 v70xc awd, had noise from the heater blower motor, removed motor assembly, cleaned out pine needles from fan, after i reinstaled motor,my climate control panel is dark and not responding! not sure what I did, checked all fuses and they seem fine. if anyone has a sugestion it would be fantastic! thanks.
Does your fan motor work? Any time you work around the electrical system you should disconnect the battery. Looking at my S80 you either left something disconnected or you need to check both fuse boxes. There's one in the cabin and one under the hood. A long shot is that all the bulbs blew out but I doubt that.

fan is running,(medium speed)controls are not responding.checked all fuses. could i have shorted out the ballast resistor? not sure where the control panel gets its power from?thanks for the response.
I don't know if Volvo uses a ballast but that shouldn't change the function of the other controls. The next step I'd try is to pull the heater control panel and see if the wiring is in place. I'm just guessing but there could be a relay in the fuse box under the hood. I don't know why it would go bad but anything is possible. You could also check and make sure all grounds are secure.
