Hello all my first post.
I just brought a 2002 v70 xc one owner car with 23,000 miles on it. This car had a bad musty smell when I got it, i replaced the cabin air filter and also sprayed a can of re frig a fresh in the duct work this fixed my musty smell. Now that i need heat here in Delaware i noticed that my driver side temp control doesn't seem to work. The passengers side seems to work fine, if you turn it up it gets warmer turn it down it gets cooler. Driver side doesn't seem to work. No mater where i put it the air coming out of the driver side vents seems to be the same temp. The nearest Volvo dealer is 80 miles away. Was wondering if anyone can help with this.
Thank you, Clay
202 V70XC Driver temp. control not working
I would start buy replacing that control unit.
call that nearest Volvo dealer ask them if they would Mail you the part if you give them the credit card number.
Its not to hard to remove that control panel.
A good parts counter guy at Volvo would tell you if thats a common problem.
I can post the directions on how to remove this panel.

After Looking at a picture of that panel from behind you will probably need to buy the entire environmental control panel.
