A friend said a transmission repair fluid gave him a couple more months out of a transmission that was slipping badly. Thought I'd give it a try. I'm no mechanic, but if it gets me a couple weeks that will allow me to find a reputable transmission repair shop and save some money.
I cannot figure out where the cap for the transmission fluid... looked under the hood, diesn't seem to be labeled on my 2004 s80.
like I said, I'm no mechanic!

the dipstick for S80 ATF is hidden deep under the intercooler hoses/ air intake duct. and it is very short. yellow in color. try to peep at the tranny housing from front left of your car (stand in front of bumper area). it may take skinny hand to go down and pick it up..
using a long (2ft) 10mm hose, attached with funnel on top, pour in some 12oz of tranny honey or lucas transmission fix.
but dont forget to drain some of the fluid before topping up this additive.
*ATF amount should not exceed the recommended amount

Depending on the build and destination country of your 2004 S80 (mine was USA & Canada), although not listed in the owners manual, the transmission dipstick can be located at the middle rear of the engine compartment and has a yellow top. You can easily check fluid levels and add fluids/additives.
