S80 T6 y2000: ECM plastic cover ventillated?

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

S80 T6 y2000: ECM plastic cover ventillated?

Post by trekking »

Hi,
I've seen on many pictures that the plastic cover of the ECM/TCM is connected with a tube to the fan (or somewhere above). On my car there is no such tube.

The cover has the stub to connect the tube, but it is sealed by plastic. Is yours the same, or you have that tube?

I'm referring to the tube that you can see on the attached pics. You can also see it e.g. here: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... hp?id=2613 , below the arrowhead of module 9)

The same on my car, no hose. Have you also noticed the stub for a hose on your air cleaner box?
