Denver: excellent Volvo tech

Post by matthew1 »

My dad gives very high praise to a local Volvo tech who takes side jobs at his home garage.

My dad's taken his S80 to this guy for a few years and has only good things to say about him. I've spoken to the tech on the phone and he doesn't want his name/number posted, only given out in emails or Private Messages so that his employer doesn't find out he's working on the side.

So email or PM me for his name/number.

Hi Matthew,

I know this is an older post, so not sure you are still following the thread. I have had some serious engine issues, and I am currently spending the winter in Vail Colorado. It seems that the best Volvo mechanics I am going to find will be in Denver. If you could please get back to me with this mechanics name/info that would be great. Or if you could just recommend a shop to use in the area. I think I am probably looking at an engine rebuild or getting a refurbished engine.

Since my post about Mr. W two years ago -- let's call him "Mr. W" -- I've met him several times, and he's continued to get jobs from my dad (S80 T6 owner). Mr. W essentially does the same quality work as shops for roughly 2/3rds as much. The catch: he doesn't have a lift -- remember he does this work at his home -- so there's a limit to what he can do. But he does know Volvos.

I suggest Volvo Specialists if you want/need a shop although Al (the poster directly above) didn't have good luck with them.

Anyway, Jimbo, PM sent with Mr W's contact info.
